2025 Year Review
December 10, 2025
Started the year with a 5 days silent meditation retreat by Art of Living. This is the first time attending a advanced meditation program by Art of Living. I could not have asked for a better start to the year. It was fun.
After the meditation retreat I did work from office for a week as our CEO was visiting Bangalore office. had dinner In 1BK, We played badminton and had a long 1 on 1 discussion. Next weekend I visited Hubli for an event by my college to welcome next batch of students. Played badminton, cricket and returned for the work for Monday.
Next I travelled for one of my colleague's farewell in April. During the visit I attended Ecstacy of Enlightenment by Sadhguru. This was the first time I got an opportunity to See Sadhguru live. I and my friend enrolled into the course. We booked the cheapest seating available. Still we could see Sadhguru from very close. There were different meditations as well. It was fun.

Coding
I had the best coding setup by far during this time. I had Lenovo Thinkpad with Windows Installed in it. I used glazewm, wezterm, neovim and Zen Browser. it worked flawlessly to my suprise as well. Right now I have Mac Os Setup with Aerospace, Ghostty, neovim and Brave browser but Window management is still pain in the ass sometimes. Ghostty goes missing sometimes and I have to do all kind of circus to get it back. This is a known issue in ghostty and hopefully fixed soon.
I also created a neovim theme for myself called forestflower it was forked from everforst but looks entirely different now. It is a mix of lot of themes like rosepine, tokyonight and onedark theme.
Functions
In 2025 summer three of my friends got married. We had Pooja in our home as well as we completed one year for our house. We also visited goa for couple of days after the marriage for chilling 😉. In november other friend of mine married in Kerala and we visited Munnar After the marriage.

I am still enjoying the freedom on being single. Hope in the coming year I build meaningful relationship with others and with myself as well.
Career
I had been working for Mammoth Analysitcs for more than 3 years. Even during my intership days I had spent years or so working on building the product. The product idea, people, challenges were still interesting I was looking for a change.change. Mid year, in between functions, I cleared Interviews for Interact AI. Opportunity looked interesting. So I made a switch as well. It has been a fun ride so far. We have built two products which are in production and making an impact 💪🏼. You can check InteractGen and InteractNow

It had been around 7+ years of engineering (including internship days) I don't feel tired yet. These days I am lot more invested in Abstracts and Designs of Software engineering.
Meditation
I started the year with 5 days silent retreat. I have been doing 30 minutes of meditation of most days. I have tried to be mindful throughout the day which is still a long way to go. Long walks, time before going to sleep and long conversations have been more mindful then before. The Krishnamurti's Notebook is also quite effective in taking me to meditatives states when I read it during right times. I would like to reduce screen time so that I can spend more time into those activities which can lead to mindful states. Going on long walks or Hikes, Engaging in long converations etc.
Books
I read 8 books this year. 3 books on WIP (Krishnamurti's Notebook, Thinking Fast and Slow and Skin In The Game). I hope to finish all 3 of them. Just need more time.

The Fabric of Reality and How The Mind Works book had influenced my worldview heavily. Tiny Experiements is a practical guide to experimental living. Morgan Housel books are great for Basic finance.
Wealth
In terms of Investment I have been passive this year. Active stock picking requires constant attention which I don't want to give so I have been increasing the mutual fund allocation this year. Given the consolidation phase of Nifty 50 and smallcap stocks, it has been a pleasure to accumulate units.
New Entrants to portfolio are Gold, Silver and Helios Smallcap fund.
Going forward I want to cutdown on some of the stocks that are not performing well and keep investing in mutual funds. I will keep an eye out for Helios Smallcap fund. As it is a new to the market a little bit of due diligence is required. I am thinking of not increasing the position in nifty 50 index fund once Parag Parikh Large Cap Fund is live. I have not made my mind up in investing into NFO.
I am also thinking of restructuring my portfolio from having a lot of money in Savings account into arbitrage fund and liquid funds. Having money in savings account gives me confidence whereas not the smartest thing to do considering tax implications.
Even though goal is to be financially free, I am not thinking of retiring yet. Feels like I am just begining the exploration of what is possible to me
2026
Excited for the adventures that 2026 brings. I am open to all the challenges there can be. I hope to do something new as well. Sprititualy, Physically, Financially I want to be my best version. I will optimise for serendipity, joy and adventure.
