I was in Kerala for a friend's wedding. We left from Bangalore on 15 Nov Friday night by train. We booked 3A ticket a month earlier in Kanyakumari Express. We reached Tripunithura station around 8.30.

We booked stay near Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple. Uber and Rapido works here. We booked Rapido and within minutes we were in the cab. Our rooms were booked in Lakshmi residency ac and non ac which is next to Chottanikkara Temple. Apart from crackers blasting sound from early morning to late night rest was all beautiful. Not sure of the cause but the temple was busy for the two days that we stayed in this place. Might be because we were here during the weekend.

We attended wedding functions on Saturday and Sunday in Souparnika Auditorium. We got to explore Kerala food and culture. If you are nearby try Annapurna tiffin house for good food.

After the wedding we left for Kochi beach which was around an hour of journey. You can fly kites, walk in the nice footpath next to the beach and shopping for unique things here. It might be the time but water did not feel clean enough and there was some kind of plants in the sides of the beach.

We left late after having dinner at The Hot Spot Restaurant to nearby bus station at Vytilla. We were told that there will be frequent bus from Vytilla to Munnar. We were in bus stand by 9:30 with the languages that we knew what we could gather was there will be a bus around 11:30, then 2. After that buses will start in early morning around 5. This was not the same information that we got from multiple places. Different people gave us different information. We decided not to try our luck as we already booked hotel in Munnar so we booked Uber intercity from Vytilla to Munnar for 5,300 for 6 seater. As we had lot of luggage as well it was the best option. Intercity ride was good, we got Ertiga and a good driver who reached us to the hotel around 2 in the night. We booked Green ridge hotel because it had good rating and near to bus stand.

Day 1 - Muttupetty Direction

Started late around 11 am. Hired Ertiga. We were 5 people and the vehicle was very comfortable. In this route network will be a problem for both airtel and Jio. So carry some hard cash before going in this direction.
