Waking up - A Guide to Spirituality Without Religion

This book starts by explaining the fleeting nature of happiness and introduces Vipassana or Mindfulness as a solution. It also talks about Illusion of self, Consciousness and Meditation.
It helped me differentiate between religion and spirituality, and my expectations of meditation have been clarified as a result. It is also a good resource if you want to use Waking Up app created by Sam Harris.

Everything that we want to accomplish is towards having a relaxed and joyful life. Quanlity of live depends on quality of experiences and experiences depend on quality of attension we pay to the present moment. Thoughts interfear in the present moment to something past and future and dwell in all kinds of positive and negative emotions distracting from present moment. So All our experiences are influenced by mind.
